Upcoming Special Events

🎓 Bitcoin Surrey – Bitcoin Diploma in UK Schools Special
📅 Date: Wednesday, 3 December 2025
🕖 Time: 18:00 to 22:00
📍 Location: The Castle, 5 Castle St, Farnham GU9 7HR
This special edition of Bitcoin Surrey is a call to action for Bitcoiners across the UK to invite teachers from their children’s schools to learn how the globally recognised Mi Primer Bitcoin Diploma can be offered as an extracurricular activity. Join James Dewar and guests for a fireside chat at 19:00, including Q&A, exploring how the Bitcoin Diploma is being taught at Sir John Lawes School and Wilmington Grammar School, the first school in the UK to deliver the programme. Teachers from both schools will be attending to share their experience of bringing financial literacy, digital responsibility, privacy, cyber-security, and independent economic thinking to Year 10 to 13 students through a free, open-source course taught once a week over twelve weeks. Food is served from 17:00 to 21:00, and all teachers, schools, and Bitcoiners are warmly encouraged to come along and learn more.
