Morning all,
A great example this week of how accepting bitcoin can boost business. A new family-run pizza restaurant near Preston has just started taking bitcoin, and the Preston meetup will be heading there this Thursday, bringing in new customers straight away.
It’s a simple, effective model that every meetup can use to help onboard more local businesses.

What We’re Up To This Week 📆
Monday
🍺 Lincolnshire Bitcoin: Lincolnshire Bitcoin meets on the third Monday of each month at 19:30 in the Treaty of Commerce. Open to all, from OG’s to newcomers. This month on the 20th.
Tuesday
🔐 Bitcoin 101: Discover bitcoin wallets, nodes, privacy, and other key topics. The class is customised to ensure everyone is challenged. It’s a 2.5-hour session on Tuesday, the 7th, from 18:30 - 21:00.
🍺 Bitcoin Bristol: Meeting at The Barley Mow, at 18:15 on the 21st for some refreshing Satoshi Ciders.
⚽️ Real Bedford - Home Game: Peter McCormack’s boys are at home this Saturday playing Stourbridge. Join them for a 19:45 kickoff. Great to see they are now using Zaprite for their ticketing system, so you can pay for tickets with sats.
Wednesday
🍻 Newcastle upon Tyne Bitcoin Meetup: The next Newcastle meetup is on Wednesday 22nd at Kabin @ Kabannas NE1 6UQ. 6:30 PM. Note the change to the 22nd from the 21st just for this month.
🕊️ Oxbit: This month discussing how Bitcoin can bring about peace between individuals & nations. You’ll find them at David Lloyd OX4 2JY at 19:00.
🍻 Berkshire Bitcoiners: The next meetup will take place on wednesday, the 22nd, at 19:00 at The Volunteer in Theale. The venue, located on Church Street, Theale, Reading, RG7 5BX, accepts Bitcoin.
Thursday
🍺 West London Meetup: The next West Hampstead Bitcoin meetup is on Thursday 23rd, 18:30–21:30. The George, Twickenham, TW1 3SN.
🍕 Preston Bitcoin Meetup: This month, the Preston crew is putting on a masterclass in how local businesses can adopt bitcoin. Lupo started accepting bitcoin just last week, and the meetup will be heading there for their October gathering. Great work all round! Join them at 19:00, in Freckleton PR4 1HP.

☕️ Newcastle Bitcoin Coffee Morning Meetup: Every Friday morning at Pumphreys Coffee Centre and Brewing Emporium (bitcoin accepted). Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned maxi, head along to chat, share ideas, and connect with the local Bitcoin community from 10:00 to 12:00.

🚶🏽♂️ Bitcoin Walk - Edinburgh: Every Saturday, they walk around Arthur’s Seat in this historic city. Join them at 12:00 to keep fit and chat Bitcoin.
