📅 The Meetup Breakdown 100
Bitcoin meetups for the UK and Ireland for 22nd - 28th June 2026.
“You have to start with the truth. The truth is the only way that we can get anywhere.” —Julian Assange
Wow, 100 issues!
There were times I didn’t think I’d make it this far. More than once, I considered calling it a day. But people kept telling me how important this newsletter had become to the UK Bitcoin community, so I carried on.
The first issue was published on 2 June 2024, and the very first meetup listed was the Northants Bitcoin Network, the meetup I started back in 2022 and the one that set me on this whole crazy journey.
As my family and I continue our travels, Gemma has taken over running the meetup, and together with Ollie, has also started helping with the newsletter.
A lot has changed over the past two years, but Bitcoin keeps chugging along. And so do we. Our aim remains the same: to keep bringing you the latest news, events, and developments from across the UK & Ireland Bitcoin community.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who has helped make these first 100 issues possible: our founding and paid subscribers, the sponsors who have supported us along the way, and everyone who returns each week to see what’s happening across the community.
The biggest thank you, however, goes to the meetup organisers. They do the hard work of building local Bitcoin communities month after month, and they help us keep this newsletter accurate by submitting updates, correcting mistakes, and making sure it remains the most reliable source of information for Bitcoin meetups and events across the UK & Ireland.
Now, let’s take a look at what’s coming up this week...
