What We’re Up To This Week 📆
Monday
🖼️ From Banksy to Bitcoin: From August 11th-18th, the “Banksy to Bitcoin” takeover in Norwich invites art lovers into a collision of street art and Bitcoin culture. Among 150+ original works, standout highlights include a one-of-a-kind Bitcoin canvas by Ben Eine and the debut of James McQueen’s Bitcoin art book. The event will be at Urban Art Store, 14 Bedford Street, Norwich. Tickets are £10.
🍺 Dundee Bitcoin: Join them on the 2nd Monday of every month from 17:30 to 20:30 PM at The Wine Press, 16 Shore Terrace, Dundee DD1 3DN. This month’s meetup is on 11th.
Wednesday
🍺 Glasgow Bitcoin: Meetups are held every second Wednesday of the month. This is a place for people in and around Glasgow to discuss Bitcoin. 18:00 - 23:00 at The Piper Bar, G1 1HL. This month on the 13th.
🍺 Batterseas Bitcoiners: A brand new meetup, at a bitcoin accepting venue, what more could you ask for? Battersea Bitcoiners kicks off at 18:00 till 23:00 on Wednesday the 13th at Pintus, SW11 6QZ.
🍺 Bitcoin Nottingham: The August Bitcoin Nottingham Meetup date for your diary is Wednesday 13th at 18:30 at Carlton Town Football Club.
🍺 St Albans: This is a new meetup happening on the second Wednesday of each month. This month, it’s from 19:00 to 22:00 on the 13th at the Robin Hood of St Albans, Victoria St, St Albans.
Thursday
🍺 Liverpool Bitcoin: A growing community, dedicated to leveraging Bitcoin’s strengths to serve the people of Liverpool and surrounding areas. Get along & help them build. This month their meetup is at the Railway Pub on Tithebarn Street, on Thursday 14th at 18:30.
🍺 Bitcoin Beach Bournemouth: Every second Thursday of the month at Chaplins Cellar Bar. 529 Christchurch Road, Boscombe, United. You’ll find them in the Cogg Room at 19:30. This month it’s the 14th.
Friday
☕️ Newcastle Bitcoin Coffee Morning Meetup: Every Friday morning at Pumphreys Coffee Centre and Brewing Emporium (bitcoin accepted). Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned maxi, head along to chat, share ideas, and connect with the local Bitcoin community from 10:00 to 12:00.
Saturday
🍬 Meetup & Fudge Tasting: Head along to Yum Yum Tree Fudge in Bury St Edmunds for a free tasting session and Bitcoin chat. From 10:00 till 12:00, with free drinks upon arrival.
🚶🏽♂️Bitcoin Walk - Edinburgh: Every Saturday they walk around Arthur’s Seat in this historic city. Join them at 12:00 to chat about all things Bitcoin and keep fit.
🎬 Clockwork Gallery Special Screening: This Saturday at 16:21, friends and special guests of the Yellow House and 2140.wtf will gather inside the Clockwork Gallery for a shared meal and two films connected to the gallery’s mission. The evening begins with Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, partly filmed in the neighbourhood and released in 1971 (see wtfhappenedin1971.com), followed by a surprise documentary screening. Take good vibes and BYOA if you like a drink.

😎 Cyphermunk House - Bitcoin & Chill: To finish the week off perfectly, it’s an afternoon of Bitcoin & Chill at Cyphermunk House on Sunday 17th at 14:00.

🐰 The first theatrical production to contain a hidden Bitcoin private key.
Prometheus will run for two performances at The Cockpit on August bank holiday. Whether anyone will be able to 'steal fire' and unlock the Bitcoin remains to be seen.

The Scottish Bitcoin Conference lands in Glasgow this August for a full day of connection, education, and inspiration at the historic Glasgow University Union.
